The One Act Play this year is “A Lady of Property”. Auditions were held last wednesday, it was a very difficult audition. Very hard for mr. middlebrooks to choose roles.
Cast list was posted up on friday and the first read through was yesterday, monday.
its going very well and everyone is pumped for the Competition.

3.The One Act Play cast keeps preparing for their competition day as Mr. Middlebrooks multitasks with formiing the Improve Troop.
The imrov troop is a group of students who are very talented in improvising on stage and can create scenes on the spot. They will be performing very soon.
Also, in the chorus department, Mr. Autry, the chorus director, helps his students in preparing for All-State Chorus Competition. Some not all, are in this selected group of gifted students. Mr. Autry helps them prepare every morning and afternoon so they are one step closer to their big day at competition.
Gold Company is also working very hard in rehearsing for their Fall Show that is performed by them every year. This year the Fall Show Theme is “Decades”.
Gold Company students are very proud of eachother for working, dancing and singing so much and going through all the good pain that they know will pay off the day of their show.

Mr. Middlebrooks, the drama depatrment director, held dance show auditions last week for this semster’s dance show. This semester’s dance show is a fundraiser for the ACTUAL dance show next semester. This semester’s dance show will be all about Michael Jackson. the students performing will be dancing to many of his greatest hits. They plan to perform sometime in November.
The one act play gets closer to competition (2 weeks) as they continue to work really hard to win 1st place.

The Dance show is getting closer withh one more week till the actual performance day.
The performance is Nov. 17th and 18th. Be there!!
Chorus are in hardcore rehearsals in class as they begin to prepare for their traditional Masterworks Concer they have every year at Piedmont Church. Concert will be after Thanksgiving break!

Echo Pageant winners are Alden Burroughs and Megan Herndon.
Echo Pageant was a great success!
Musical Auditions will be Jan. 7th of 2010.
There will be a student directory play that Meredith Crawley will be directing called, “Mother Superior” and auditions are December 11.
Master works concert is very close it will be held at Piedmont Baptist church on December 10 at 7pm.
